Zusammenfassung: | Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) continue to be an issue as a reportable hospital acquired condition (HAC). The purpose of the study is to identify patients with bacteriuria or a urinary tract infection (UTI) prior to the placement of an indwelling urinary catheter in order to identify patients with pre-existing infections and reduce the risk of reportable CAUTI. |
