Zusammenfassung:Inserted in the field of Language Policy and Planning studies, the present paper aims at presenting a research developed in the context of an undergraduate research project, which made a survey and an analysis of the curricula guidelines that lead foreign language teaching in Brazilian Basic School, to build an inventory of such documents in order to contribute with the language studies field. Therefore, searches in the official websites of Federal and State governments were made so that the available documents could be identified and analyzed in terms of how they deal with such languages teaching. The documents analysis were made based on the Policy Cycle Approach, specifically about what concerns to the influence context and the text production context. Regarding to the influence context, we perceive how several groups build their discourses to influence the definition policies of their interest. Referring to the text production context, we highlight how texts which indicate rule and standardize a desired policy are produced. Considering the analysis, it is possible to set a relationship between the different discourses in the influence context, mainly in terms of links established among the foreign languages, globalization and the access to the job market. In the context of text production, we notice strong bonds between federal a state texts, in addition to innovative aspects proposed by some states.
