GERENCIAMENTO DOS FLUXOS DE INFORMAÇÃO COMO REQUISITO PARA A PRESERVAÇÃO DA MEMÓRIA ORGANIZACIONAL: UM DIFERENCIAL COMPETITIVO

Organizational environments are constantly changing, are dynamic and highly complex. In addition, these environments are composed of information flows that require management, because propitiate conditions for organizations to develop competitive advantages. Thus, understand the importance of information and knowledge represent in this context is essential. From this perspective, organizational memory becomes a crucial element for preserving organizational memory as it can avoid rework as well as to base decisions on retrospective information, that is, information and knowledge-based decisions previously taken on the organizational context. The objective of this study is to highlight the importance of preserving organizational memory in order to develop and improve the informational actions directly or indirectly related to establishment of the organizational memory. From this perspective, we used the bibliographic research of a qualitative nature to analyze the phenomena related to that thematic. It is emphasized that the management of informational flows through information management (which operates in the context of formal or structured flows) and knowledge management (which operates in the context of informal flows or unstructured) are indispensable for organizations and constitute a prerequisite for the organizational memory preservation can be used as a competitive differentiator .
