Zusammenfassung:A new coefficient is proposed for the evaluation of the efficiency of eddy-current probes. Invariant properties of this coefficient are established. In particular, it is shown that it depends only on the ratio of the sizes of windings and is independent of the working frequency, sizes, and the number of winds of an eddy-current probe. The eddy-current efficiency coefficient can be used in the theory of eddy-current control for the comparative evaluation of the structural efficiency of eddy-current probes and for the development of recommendations for the evaluation of their characteristics.
