Duitama a través de los imaginarios: tres aproximaciones a la visión de la ciudad

This paper is the result of one of the stages on the project Image Construction of the City, more specifically the City of Duitama. Three analytic axes were considered in order to get a holistic and coherent visualization. First, an exploration on how local events relate to places, as well as on the value its inhabitants give to such spaces is carried out. Secondly, there is an inquiry about high school students actual and desired imaginaries for the City, as a way to understand, from this perspective, the existent ideas about the City. Finally, there is a characterization as to how the relation between religious imaginaries and the transportation system also specify a notion of city. In short, cities are conformed from multiple visions, all of which provide opportunities to understand their realities, as well as to transform them. This image configuration exceeds, in many cases, administrative policies and physical spatiality, and it aims to a more real and natural comprehension though not very tangible.
