Zusammenfassung: | Glioma is a type of brain tumor that can provide rapid growth and invasiveness, and radiation therapy often used to treat the same. Computer simulations allow estimating tumor growth and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan for the patient. This article proposes the use of time series methodology via Exponential Smoothing method to model the response to radiotherapy of glioma. The method Holt with additives errors was applied to model the dynamics of glioma. The results with 95% confidence level, show that this method can represent the evolution of glioma in response to radiation therapy for a specific patient with mean absolute percentage error of about 2%. |
