Trajetos da Negociação Coletiva Trabalhista: Sindicatos dos Metalúrgicos e dos Bancários do Rio de Janeiro

The paper focuses on the initiatives of the union movement of workers and the behavior of the Labor Courts, always in relation to collective bargaining between employers and employees. We demonstrate the limits and possibilities that activation of justice by the workers introduces during the processes of negotiation and confrontation between the actors of capital and labor, based on research about the mobilization of banks and metal industry workers' unions from Rio de Janeiro in the 2000s, well as documents of the Labor Courts and DIEESE.
