Zusammenfassung:The twenty-first century begins, in Brazil, with changes in the labor market and trade unions, the effect of capital's structural crisis. As a reaction to the crisis, the Brazilian government and business, have adopted measures to adjustments for market-oriented, which countered the universe of wage labor, forms of contraction and representative bodies. Regarding the dynamics of the labor market in the country witnessed in the most general level, these early decades of this century, a natural reduction in unemployment and decline in informality and, with respect to the occupational structure, characterized by a new reconfiguration increase of employment contracts for a definite period, and especially the emergence of different forms of precarious occupations. The aim of the paper is to analyze the occupational structure that has shaped the country, the quality of the jobs created and the role that unions have played against this juncture.
