Zusammenfassung:Quartz mica schist presents a signicant challenge in rock engineering due to its anisotropic features. These rocks are expected to have physical, mechanical and hydraulic characteristics that vary in different directions. In most engineering projects, anisotropy serves a major role in the behaviors of rocks. In mining and civil engineering, anisotropy affects the stability of underground excavations, surface excavations, foundations, drilling, blasting and rock cutting.
