Zusammenfassung:Based on the histopathology and appearance of the bluish nodules in the skin, gastrointestinal mucosa and brain, the patient was diagnosed as having the blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome (BRBNS) with isolated cranial neuropathy due to a pontine venous malformation. BRBNS may thus occur at different ages and manifest with various symptoms, ranging from severe congenital malformations of the CNS and other organs to mild iron deficiency anaemia in older people due to chronic gastrointestinal haemorrhage.
