Zusammenfassung: | Mahmûd al-Kâsgârî, the author of Dîwân Lugât at-Turk, provided extremely valuable information about Turkic dialects (Oghuz, Kipçak, Uyghur, Argu ... etc.) spoken in the 11th century. Many scientists who have worked on the Turkic dialects of the 11th century have assessed the properties which Mahmud al-Kâsgâri particularly noted were the properties of Oghuz, Kipchak, Argu etc. However, this is only a part of the whole truth. In this article, basing my ideas on a different assumption, I have tried find the Oghuzic properties in chapters which Kasgari did not intentionally mark as Oghuzic. In this article, I will first explain my assumption and then try to determine other properties that might be Oghuzic in the Dîwân Lugât at-Turk based on this assumption. Finally, depending on the properties I have found, I will try to determine what kind of Oghuz dialects were spoken in the 11th century. |
