Zusammenfassung:Because of the wide geographical coverage of the Frenchay neurosurgical unit, he also held regular clinics in Taunton and Exeter. The resulting polygraphic recordings of physiological parameters, including the elecroencephologram, led to early warning of the pathological pressure waves that resulted from the breakdown of cerebral vascular control mechanisms, and thus to improved methods of stabilisation.
