Zusammenfassung: | [...]experiences that students value highly-such as ward rounds, positive as well as correctional feedback on their clinical practice, a feeling of being welcomed on to clinical rotations, a high degree of responsibility for the initial contact with and management of patients, and regular teaching and learning events-are provided by medical teachers to varying degrees. 4 Unpublished data from a recent study 5 suggest that where a valid method is used to assess students and when students have both the opportunity to gain experience and the time to reflect on that with close supervision, the correlation between clinical experience and an assessment shortly afterwards increases to around 0.3-0.4. |
