System evaluation of economic 16/32chs 1.25Gbps WDM-PON with self-seeded RSOA

We investigate a novel WDM-PON system by using self-seeded Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (RSOA) both in downstream and upstream. The transmission performance is evaluated and reported for the first time and meets carrier level requirements. (2 pages)
