ChemInform Abstract: Syntheses, Crystal Structures and Electronic Structures of New Metal Chalcoiodides Bi2CuSe3I and Bi6Cu3S10I

Crystals of Bi2CuSe3I (I) and Bi6Cu3S10I (II) are prepared by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of Bi, CuI (and Cu for II), and Se or S at 400 °C.
