Blood pressure measurement in dogs and cats

SYSTEMIC hypertension occurs as a primary condition or a complication of several diseases in dogs, and complicates several disease conditions of cats. The ability to measure blood pressure accurately and repeatably, and to interpret blood pressure measurements in the light of other patient information, is integral to the recognition and evaluation of symptomatic or asymptomatic hypertension.
