ChemInform Abstract: Proline‐Catalyzed Cyclization Reaction for the Synthesis of Naphthostyrils: Application to the Total Synthesis of Prioline

The title compounds are synthesized by Stille coupling of indolinones (I) with β‐tributylstannyl‐α,β‐unsaturated ketones (II) followed by 4‐hydroxyproline‐catalyzed cyclization of the coupling products.
