Zusammenfassung:Geo-environmental assessment of any fluvial basin plays a major role in defining the structure of that basin in terms of geomophology, morphometry, land use practices etc. In the present paper, geo-environmental assessment has been carried out in Loni Nala sub-unit of Gomati basin using remote sensing and GIS techniques for demarcating the natural as well as tectonic element of fluvial morphology. Further, it has also been discussed how the surface analysis (geomorphology, morphometry, land use, DEM and contour) play important role in deciphering the suitablity of this sub-unit for prospect in water recharge and agricultural sustainability with growing concretization.
