Datos y resultados sobre el sentimiento identitario en Andalucía/ Data and results on the feeling of identity in Andalusia

In the last years debates about the identity feelings of the Spanish people towards their respective regions have been reactivated. In Andalusia several studies concerning the existence of an identity consciousness in the population have been carried out showing the prevalence of a 'dual identity' -ambivalence between being Andalusian and Spanish. Identity is a complex analytic category that is generating significant debate in the social sciences in recent decades. Here we will refer to the collective identity as a social fact. The information used has been gathered from the last two Surveys on Social Reality in Andalusia by the Institute of Social Studies of Andalusia (ISSA), SSRA-2011 and SSRA-2013. On the one hand, the results of both surveys are compared and linked with other similar studies. As a final conclusion, the authors have obtained that the extreme values of the Andalusian identity have fallen between 2011 and 2013. The strong identity movements produced in other regions have been reinforced in the Andalusian his dual identity as Spanish and Andalusian.
