Zusammenfassung: | Reshoring is a strategy that returns manufacturing to its home country, usually for cost and logistical reasons. Earlier studies indicate that consumers' attitudes of quality are related to where the product is manufactured. Also, reshoring may influence the product's environmental footprint. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of product quality and environmental impact as a result of reshoring on the consumers' purchase preferences and willingness to pay a price premium. The study evaluates United States and Germany consumer's product preferences for reshored products. |
