Zusammenfassung:In the history of European Union (EU) environmental policy, the Court of Justice of the European Union through its case law has played a crucial role in establishing the legitimacy of environmental measures at EU level. Therefore, a study of the environmental law cases contributes to sustainability by raising awareness of how to use legal instruments for environmental conservation and protection. The need for an approach in terms of law science is justified by the fact that all aspects of the environment that must be protected, preserved and enhanced, can be controlled only if there is a good and solid legal system. For the last 20 years, the development of environmental policy has been characterized by deepening the level of institutional involvement, and the expansion of the environmental regulatory body of law was represented especially by EU directives and regulations. EU law consists of a set of rules that determine the organization, power and functioning of the Union.
