OBITUARIES: Jamie Edward Thomerson (1935-2015)

[...]incoming professors David Duvernell and Jake Schaefer fondly recall that Jim enthusiastically shared his deep knowledge on topminnows and so encouraged and influenced them that both decided to focus a large part of their research on the evolutionary biology, ecology, and behavior of that group of fishes. Jim's enchantment with killifish strongly influenced his decision to study North American species of Fundulus for his Ph.D. research project.\n Jim was especially proud upon being designated his university's Outstanding Scholar in 1994.
