Zusammenfassung:In any language, in which the world view of a society and its national and religious values are being preserved, the use of euphemism is often encountered. Euphemism, which can be used by everyone and everywhere in society, is also found in poetic language. The language a poet uses cannot be totally detached from society, yet the poet also creates original expressions that are not commonly found in the language of the society in which he/she lives. In a similar way, we can see that Necip Fazil Kisakürek is one of those Turkish poets who made use of euphemism in a certain way. As is well known, two of the themes he focuses on are "death" and "the love of Allah". It can be seen that Kisakürek gave supremacy to these themes by using methapors as well as implicit expressions called euphemism. It has been identified that in his poems the word "death" is not expressed explicitly or directly; instead, religious terms are preferred by the help of euphemisms. On the other hand, when he wants to use a word which has a shameful meaning, Kisakürek makes use of ellipsis.
