Zusammenfassung: | Congressional materials on microfiche received through the U.S. Depository Library Program of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) and those purchased from the Congressional Information Service (CIS) were examined to determine how the two services compare in timeliness and the number of congressional publications provided. The microfiche received from the two services were tabulated by total number received and dates of arrival. Titles from the two services arrived in a wide range of time frames, from same day to as much as a year apart. A significant number of GPO microfiche were never received. Although the CIS service is expensive, it proved to be very dependable. |
