ChemInform Abstract: One-Pot Syntheses of 1H-Pyrazolo[1,2-B]phthalazine-5,10-diones and 2-H-Indazolo[2,1-B]phthalazine-1,6,11(13-H)-triones in Water by Auto Catalysis

The title compounds are synthesized in an one‐pot, four component reaction of phthaloyl dichloride (I) , hydrazine hydrate, various aryl aldehydes (II) and malononitrile (III), ethyl cynoacetate (V) or dimedone (VII) in refluxing water.
