ChemInform Abstract: Rapid Access to 3-Aminoindazoles from Tertiary Amides

Benzamides [e.g. (I)] react with nucleophilic hydrazides (e.g. [II]) to give aminohydrazones [e.g. (III)], which undergo Pd‐catalyzed C—H amination to afford aminoindazoles [e.g. (IV)].
