Zusammenfassung:In this article a branch of Jaso family, originally from Jassu, Lower Navarra, southwest of France, descendants of Saint Francis Xavier is analyzed. In the early sixteenth century two members arrived in New Spain and after participating in several military incursions into the newly discovered territories, one of them, Juan de Jaso known the Mozo, is seat in the town of Tula, current state of Hidalgo. There he established important economic and marital relationships that allowed him to amass a respectable heritage, positioning him and his descendants as part of the regional elite.
