ChemInform Abstract: An Iodine Catalyzed Metal Free Domino Process for the Stereoselective Synthesis of Oxygen Bridged Bicyclic Ethers

The novel metal‐free Prins cyclization of 4‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)cyclohex‐3‐en‐1‐ols with aryl, hetaryl, alkenyl, or alkyl aldehydes proceeds with high diastereoselectivity and provides the products in high yields.
