ChemInform Abstract: Strain-Driven Direct Cross-Aldol and -Ketol Reactions of Four-Membered Heterocyclic Ketones

Four‐membered heterocyclic ketones undergo cross‐ketal reactions with ketones (II) and (IV) as well as cross‐aldol reactions with aldehydes (VI) and ketones (Ib,c) to give β‐hydroxyketone derivatives.
