Zusammenfassung:Molten salts facilitate the reaction of CO2 with MgO by providing an alternate pathway to traditional gas‐solid reactions. Molten salts partially dissolve bulk MgO and provide activated species accessible to CO2 at gas‐solid‐liquid triple phase boundaries. This methodology is also applicable to other basic metal oxides and molten salts, inspiring the design of new absorbent systems.
