GESTÃO DO TRÂNSITO PARA ATIVIDADES ESPORTIVAS NA VIA - CORRIDAS DE RUA NA CIDADE DE SÃO PAULO/TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES TOWARDS - STREET RACING IN SAO PAULO

The increasing number of scheduled sports activities, with concentration and occupation of public streets in the city of São Paulo, represented by marathons, streets racing and walking has presented to the public agency traffic manager a major challenge in managing programmed these incidents to minimize their impact on the main streets system and the surroundings. The Company of Traffic Engineering - CET is responsible for planning and operation of events programmed in, among these, the public sports activities. This paper presents the process of planning and operation of events scheduled on public streets, among these, the sports activities and suggests the structure of an "Indicator Operating Performance in Sports Events" as an instrument for improving this process. The increasing needs and demands of customers (society) requires the public to be able to hold with high adaptability and high efficiency ratio and an indicator of this order will help to improve the satisfaction of stakeholders (organizers, event participants and others users of the street system directly or indirectly affected) and adaptation measures to reduce impacts on traffic.
