A dosimetric analysis of acute gastrointestinal toxicity in locally advanced pancreatic cancer patients treated with carbon-ion radiotherapy
All patients were treated with a fixed dose of 55.2 Gy (RBE) at 12 fractions. Since maximal absolute dose which covers 2cm3 of the organ (D2cm3) >= 44 Gy (RBE) was significantly associated with gastrointestinal toxicity in previous study, D2cm3 was restricted under 44 Gy (RBE).
