Cycle de carrière objectif et cycle de carrière subjectif : essai de structuration - cas Worldwide express 1

The different stories of life leading individuals to change careers have motivated us to conduct a research. This has been done in an approach based on the possibility of individuals to re-start a second career during their professional lives. Our research consists in understanding how some individuals can live several "careers". In other words, we wish to determine the structure of these "parts" of career. The literature concerning careers gives two approaches of the subject: objective and subjective and introduces the concept of "career cycle". A study was realised in an organisation of more than 8 000 employees in 2009 using a position of "participant observer". The study realised from the case Worldwide Express showed the existence of objective and subjective career cycles, monocyclic and multicyclic. This study made it possible to describe the steps of the objective and subjective career cycles. This work brings forward the variety of career itineraries in a French context.
