ChemInform Abstract: In Tandem or Alone: A Remarkably Selective Transfer Hydrogenation of Alkenes Catalyzed by Ruthenium Olefin Metathesis Catalysts

A mild method for the transfer hydrogenation of a wide range of alkenes showing high functional group tolerance and remarkable selectivity using a system of a ruthenium metathesis catalyst and HCOOH is developed.
