Zusammenfassung: | Our Health System is comprised of a tertiary care main campus (MC) and 9 regional hospitals. Internal surveillance (IS) for Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) has been ongoing using the definition of: diarrhea, positive test, no history or last CDI over 8 weeks and symptoms and/or test onset on or after hospital day 4. National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) laboratory identification (LabID) reporting for inpatient CDI became mandatory in 2013 for hospitals participating in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services payment program. |
