ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of 4,4-Difluoro-1-H-pyrazole Derivatives

The reaction of 3,5‐dimethyl and 3‐phenyl‐5‐alkyl 1H‐pyrazoles with Selectfluor furnishes the corresponding 4‐monofluoro pyrazole derivatives, but fails for pyrazole systems bearing two electron withdrawing groups.
