Zusammenfassung:Traditional Chinese herbal medications have drawn growing attention for research worldwide. This article investigated how to efficiently identify effective compounds in a herbal medicine via chromatographic fingerprints, which could shed light on the efficacy of the medicine. The article adopted sparse but flexible semiparametric nonlinear models for both the fingerprint shape and the warping functions.
