Zusammenfassung:Multi-adjusted analysis revealed that increased age (Relative Risk(RR) per year = 1.07, 95%Confidence Intervals (CI):1.05,1.09), male gender (RR= 1.47, 95%CI:0.88,2.47), diabetes (RR=1.78, 95%CI:0.95,3.32) and C-reactive protein levels (RR per 1 mg/dl = 1.08, 95%CI:1.00,1.16), were the most significant risk factors, whereas adherence to Mediterranean diet (RR per 1/55 units=0.97, 95%CI:0.93,1.00), was the most important protective factor.
