ChemInform Abstract: Nickel-Catalyzed Reductive Methylation of Alkyl Halides and Acid Chlorides with Methyl p-Tosylate

In contrast to other sulfonates, methyl tosylate serves as an effective agent for the methylation of unactivated primary and secondary alkyl halides as well as aryl and alkyl carboxylic acid chlorides.
