ChemInform Abstract: First Iodocyclization Reaction of Allene--Thioureas: An Efficient Approach to Bicyclic [beta]-Lactams

Depending on the substituents on the allenyl group of the substrates the regioselective iodocyclization provides either six-membered 3-thia-1-dethiacephems or seven-membered thiazepines in a mixture with five-membered isopenams.
