ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of Arylsulfonyl-Quinones and Arylsulfonyl-1,4-diols as FabH Inhibitors: Pd-Catalyzed Direct C-Sulfone Formation by C-S Coupling of Quinones with Arylsulfonyl Chloride

A facile protocol is developed for the coupling of quinones with arysulfonyl chlorides to give arylsulfonyl quinones, which can be easily reduced to the corresponding 1,4‐diols.
