Zusammenfassung:The main objective of the study is to enquire Secondary Education Teachers moral reasoning as a component of the ethical competency. The instruments used were hypothetical dilemmas (pre-tested for validity and reliability with the Cronbach's Alpha) and real dilemmas. The research sample consisted in 264 teachers, members of the 'Escuela Normal Superior de Michoacán' México. The analysis was made with the statistical program Aquad 6. Among the findings of the study, a larger presence of conflicts between interpersonal ethic rules with social acceptance and with particular institution rules was found. Justice and protection against harm conducted to students were found to be values present in real dilemmas as well as prevalent in the conventional reasoning amongst teachers.
