Zusammenfassung:To describe the epidemiological characteristics of anemic children hospitalized in pediatric service at the provincial hospital El Idrissi Kenitra in Morocco, a prospective cross-sectional study was conducted between February and the month of May 2011. During this period study, a total of 43 anemic children was hospitalized. The male is the most affected with 60% of cases, with a highly significant difference. The sex ratio is 1.5 for the male. The mean age of the patients was 5.8 ± 2.5 years, with tips ranging from one to 11 years. The most affected age group was the slice of 4 years-11 years with 26 cases (60%), followed by the age of 1 years-4 years with 12 cases (28%) and that of 11 years-16 years with 5 cases (12%). According to the analysis of our results, it was found that the majority of children were from modest families, 93% of parents had an irregular family income.
