Plasma KC and IL-6 are early predictive markers of severe acute pancreatitis

Compared with the aged mice without renal dysfunction (mild AP group), the aged mice with renal dysfunction (severe AP group) showed significantly increased pancreatic tissue damage, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activities, and plasma levels of amylase, IL-6, KC, PAI-1 and d-dimer at this time point.
