OVA12, a novel tumor antigen, promotes cancer cell growth and inhibits 5-fluorouracil-induced apoptosis

Highlights • OVA12 is a novel tumor antigen which is highly expressed in tumors. • OVA12 promotes cancer cell proliferation and alters the cell cycle by promoting the G1 to S transition. • OVA12 inhibits cell apoptosis induced by 5-FU through upregulation of Mcl-1 and survivin.
