Zusammenfassung:The article presents a case study of the way in which knowledge creation and management occurred in the Integrated Student Project (ISP), promoted by the Ministry of Education (MEC), during the cycle that ended in 2012, in the form of distance education. One goal of the study, conducted as a doctoral thesis, was to analyze how it happened the creation and management of knowledge in the team of course ISP in the states of Paran, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso do Sul, under the coordination of UFSC. To understand and analyze the case, we used the model proposed by Nonaka and Takeuchi (1997, 2008). The methodology used was the case study of type exploratory and descriptive; survey data by documents and interviews; data analysis based on the methodology of Grounded Theory (GT). The results of the analyzes showed socialization as one of the most deficit steps inside the scenario of knowledge management, and suggest add technological infrastructure to the model proposed by the authors.
