Zusammenfassung:Wickenden Award I am pleased to announce that the 2014 William Elgin Wickenden Award of the American Society for Engineering Education was presented at the society's annual conference to Muhsin Menekse, Glenda S. Stump, Stephen Krause, and Michelene T. H. Chi for their article "Differentiated Overt Learning Activities for Effective Instruction in Engineering Classrooms," which was published in the July 2013 issue of the Journal of Engineering Education. Just as original technical research in microelectronics does not immediately produce new techniques for the design of integrated circuits, so original education research on students' misconceptions about digital logic does not immediately produce new guidelines for instructional practices in computer engineering.
