Snakes of Zimbabwe and Botswana

The combination of keys, pictures, and maps should enable any field or museum worker to quickly and reliably identify any snake species from the region, and the book is also tough, well bound, and attractively produced. Many are extremely useful; the four pictures of the Zambezi Giant Blind Snake (Megatyphlops mucroso) all show a different color phase, seven different color varieties of Bids caudalis are shown, as are both adult and juvenile color phases for two species of African garter snakes (Elapsoidea).
