Zusammenfassung:In this paper, the authors present the results of recent developments and experimental investigations of a new atmospheric-pressure microwave plasma torch with reverse-vortex plasma stabilization and different plasma gases, such as air and nitrogen. Such a torch could be used for a variety of applications, for example, nitriding of steel and alloy surface, new materials and nanopowder production, ignition and flame control, coating, etching, and some other materials processing.
