Zusammenfassung: | [...]the diagnostic deserves doubt when symptoms are persisting while brain imaging is normal. Usually symptoms reach their msaximum intensity over a period of 1 to 2 weeks [3]. [...]the clinical presentation, although extremely variable from one patient to another, is characterized by the presence of bilateral sensory motor symptoms that usually do not cast doubt about the diagnosis. [...]these observations remind us that, in the presence of acute neurologic deficit and normal brain and spinal cord imaging, GBS should always be considered together with other periphal neuromuscular dysfunction related to vasculitis, heavy metal and organophosphorus poisoning, acute myasthenia gravis, and periodic palsy [6]. |
